Comment: This flat iron is GREAT! I have naturally wavy hair that is prone to the frizzies in humid weather. I have used other flat irons, but usually end of frizzy by the end of the work day. With this one, however, my hair is smooth and shiny, and stays that way all day. The only "con" about this is that the controls for the temperature settings are right where your hand is, and it is too easy to accidently raise or lower the temp as you straighten your hair. The instructions say that there is a way to "lock" the temp, but I haven't been able to get it to work. But that inconveience aside, you won't regret getting this flat iron!

Comment: I am African American. I used it for my kinky hair. It was an excellent product. It perfectly straighten my hair for weeks on end, and I only used it for the initial straightening of my hair. It's a very good product.

Comment: I got this after reading about it in Good Housekeeping. I currently own a HAI flat iron that my stylist recommended. I love my HaI but when I read about the lack of frizz the remington leaves I wanted to try it. I have to admit it worked, straightened my wavy, frizzy hair, but it KILLED it! My bangs are very badly damaged and my hair is super dry now. I am going to my stylist to see if she can reverse any of the damage. This was done at settings as low as 320 up to 400. I tried all different settings to see if that made a difference and it did not. Be careful. If you have dry, course hair this will probably ruin what little bit of good hair you have left!

Comment: I love this straightener!! It cut down the time it took to straighten my hair by a ton! It heats up very fast as it advertises and stays hot while using it which many cheaper straighteners don't. Usually I use remington straighteners in the $20-$30 price range but this was totally worth the extra money. It is especially great because it is so much cheaper than a lot of the 'salon' quality expensive straighteners like chi etc. My hair also does stay straighter than it did with other straighteners and for a longer time which is amazing since my hair usuallu gets extremely frizzy at even the sight of water. Definitely recommend it!! bottom line: heats up in a minute or less, works fast, stays hot and keeps your hair straight for a long time!
