Great For Making Ringlets!,

This is a great curling iron. Not only does it heat up very fast and very hot (I've only turned the dial up to three out of a possible ten, because it's to strong), but it makes beautiful curls that last for days. Depending on the type of look you want, they make the curlers in different sizes. This size is terrific for long hair if you want ringlets. They also make a curler with a bigger barrel for very loose curls, waves, and even to straighten, and they have even smaller barrels for tighter curls. This was a good size for me.
I've used it for quite a while and had no problems with it...it lasts very well.

Emitting Burning Odor,
March 3, 2009 Christina Carlos "Amazon Woman" (Maryland) - See all my reviews

I love my 1 1/4" Hot Tools curling iron (purchased from Ulta) and decided to purchase the 1" from Discount Jungle. I was excited to receive it, but when I plugged my curling iron (for the 1st time) it was emitting a burning odor. I used it maybe 3-4 x hoping it would go away, but it didn't. As stated previously, I currently own a HT curling iron and works well with no problems and shouldn't be giving off this odor. I contacted DJ & they sent a replacement. Sadly, that too was giving off a burning smell. Because I don't want to deal with the hassle of paying for shipping (again) & waiting for it (again), I am going to keep it, even though I am worried about safety. I will just keep my eye on it. Oh, well.
