This review is from: Helen of Troy 1" Pro Brush Iron 1517 (Health and Beauty) Can't figure out why there are so few curling brushes out there - they are so much easier to use than the irons, especially for those like me who have stick-straight hair that slips through the irons. That said, the Helen of Troy brush is the only 1-inch barrel I can find out there, save for the ceramic one that is way too hot to handle and burns the hair too easily. The Helen of Troy does the job, just takes a few extra minutes of curling to perform on very straight hair. We need a curling brush that gets a few degrees hotter than the Helen of Troy (and an automatic shut-off!) and a few degrees cooler than the Inifinity by Conair. Love, love love they way it heats up very quickly and the bristles help my keep the hot iron away from my scalp so that I don't burn myself. The only drawback and to me it is minor is that I almost always get my hair caught on the one end and have to pull to remove the few strands that get caught. It's not painful but just annoying. If I'm not in a hurry and looking in the mirror when I am curling my haird I can avoid do this to my hair. I seriously thought about buying two of these in case they become obsolete and I would not be stuck trying to find something else I like as much. I settled on buying...Read more |
