HAI Elite Digistik 1 Inch Titanium Flat Iron

I was hesitant about spending so much money on a flat iron. I had a flat iron from the beauty supply store that I was currently using but my hair was starting to seem dry from it. It would take an average of 20-25 minutes every time I used it waiting for it to heat up and then having to run it through my hair many times. Then....I was introduced to the HAI Digistick at the aveda salon I go to. I was in love. My hair has always been frizzy when I get into humidity. After my hair dresser was done my hair was as smooth as ever. Sylists can always make hair look better than what I can but after seeing my hair looking so long and smooth I just had to buy one. I loved the Digistik! I used it almost daily and made sure to never wrap the cord around the flat iron when storing it and it lasted me 4 years!!! I loved it with the exception that Im not a fan of the 1" curls - i prefer bigger curls. I've ordered a 1 1/2" inch flat iron but I may return it and buy this one again after I try it out. The Digi heats up really quick and the thermostat does fluctuate (+/- 3 degrees) but that's because I have long hair and the heat transfers from the iron to my hair when straightening. I remember when I purchased it the box said it heated up to 400 degrees but only went to 380 like noted on here - not sure if that was corrected on the packaging. My hair never caught into the corners and the swivel connector is wonderful - that is finally what gave out on my straightener...after 4 years tho. Again, love, love, loved this product!!!

I have coarse, long, thick hair and this digistick changed my getting-ready routine. My best friend had it, I tried it & loved it. Then my hair dresser in beverly hills started using it & it was super awesome, so i just spent the money. It was $200 back when i purchased this (2006? 2007?) and well worth it. It shorted recently when i took it on my trip to Cambodia :( (totally my fault) so im getting another. I want to try a 1 1/2 or 2 inch now since my hair is way longer than the past. It lasted me years, and cut my getting-ready time by more than half easily.
