This is a GREAT product especially for African American women. I spend months and months buying items from Sally's and other beauty supply and when a friend told me about I decided to try it. Its wonderful!!! The iron gets hot enough to give you that smooth straight look and you don't have to use it daily. Once/week is good. Any I definately recommend it, it has save me ALOt of money. I don't have to go to the hair dresser anymore. I can't believe I'm taking the time to write this, but I wanted to do this to help someone else.

I had to take the time to write about this product because as an African- American woman with a very thick afro that often rejects blow dryers and laughs in the face of typical flat irons, I was thoroughly impressed when my friend straightened the front of my hair. I haven't had to reuse this in several days and that's after a night dancing at the club.
I had my hair straightened professionally several years ago and it lasted less than four hours. This straightening has lasted four days and still counting and my hair is silky and has a shine I thought only Caucasian, Asian, and Native Am. women were capable of attaining. And it's not greasy!
I haven't had a perm in over 15 years and after finding this product and using it in combination with Silk Elements, it looks like I won't ever have to get one. For those of you who are doubting, just remember it's $30 on Amazon and $40 at Sally's and you can return it if need be, but I can assure you, you won't want...Read more

I have had this straightener before, except the brand name was "curlmaster". I am thinking they changed the name for good reason. But it is the same product exactly. I love this straightener, I have harder hair to straighten and I will never go to another. I even have a CHI and I like this product better. It is very good i would recommend to mostly everyone. The shipping was also very quick. Also my last one of this didn't break and I have had it for 3 years, I just dropped it and the cord losses the connection so it randomly will turn off. But it still works great after 3 years!
