great heat for hard to straighten hair,but outside plates get as hot as inside can burn hands and furniture :(

I used this flat iron as soon as I got it, it appeared to be GREAT. BUT it does not have a temperature control. Major disappointment! I will use this one periodically. Never as my after shampoo iron. Probably for daily styling (quick styles). It's really fast and bigger than my 1".
