Summary: Someone needs to make this with a metal casing. 2010-07-07
Comment: I am a stylist. This iron gets extremely hot which is great for styling. However I am on my 4th volumizing iron because the plastic casing cannot withstand the heat and the blades come apart over a time. I have tried different epoxies to try and salvage the iron, but once reheated the residue bleeds onto the hair. So I just keep buying new ones. I love the results which cannot be simulated with a flat or curling iron.

Comment: This product leaves kinks in my hair very easily and burns fingers while trying to create curls. This is better for short hair.

Comment: Have been looking around for a styling iron for some time and thought I had found "the one". However, this volumizing iron is disappointing...
my hair got caught and pulled in the small gap in the plates too many times that I finally decided to return it. Such a shame 'coz if not for that I would have kept it.
