I have pretty straight hair but it will hold a curl/wave pretty well. I really like this curling iron - it creates great curls and waves. It heats us super quick, and a heat glove comes with the iron. You only need to leave your hair on the iron for a few seconds for a tight, long-lasting curl.
A few cons that prevented a five star rating:
1. There is no heat setting. The iron gets really hot, but it would be nice to control the heat a little.
2. The cord is really thick and a little awkward. It connects to the iron on a swivel, but it's stiff and can be a little awkward.
3. The glove is made from people with REALLY LONG FINGERS. I will probably buy a smaller glove, but I've gotten used to the XL glove.
Otherwise, I really like this iron. I get a lot of compliments when I use it and am overall pleased with the product.
