Conair CHV14J Instant Heat Jumbo and Super Jumbo-Sized Rollers

Comment: After having luck with a pervious set of Conair hot rollers I decided on this one. There are four jumbo rollers and eight large rollers, this is great but what isn't great are the clips! They don't fit the jumbo rollers once you get your hair wrapped around it and they leave dents in your hair. They are large, plasitc, hinged clips so storage is a pain as well, there is no storage for these clips on the set itself so I had to find a little plastic bucket for them. This will be a pain when I travel.

My previous set of Conair hot rollers was pretty similar to this one except all of the curlers were the large size and they had regular metal clips with storage for the clips on the set. I wish I could find this same set again!

I am sure there are other hot rollers on the market that would be a lot more convenient!

Comment: Considering I have very coarse hair, I was surprised it curled myhair the way it did. The curls lasted a few hours considering I left them on for about 20 minutes maximum.

Comment: I have been looking for this kind of body forever, and finally got the guts to try these big rollers. Don't let their size intimidate you, they are wonderful! I have thick hair that is very fine, and I couldn't believe how easy it is to set my hair with these. Smaller sets take forever, if you are being careful not to overload the roller, but this set can handle my large amount of hair. I even have 1 or 2 left over at the end (out of 12 total). They set quickly, and give you sexy waves and body that will last all day.

I agree that the set heats up very fast, but I find that the rollers placed in last (that are a bit uncomfortable to handle because of the heat) set the best curls, so if you know that your hair requires high heat, don't be hasty. You will appreciate how much better the curls set when you give it just a little more time to heat up!

I can't say anything aye or nay towards the dropping of curlers and how they don't fit in just right afterwards, but I have noticed that there are certain ones that fit in certain spots better than others, so if you purchase these and are having difficulties putting them back in the slots, try moving them around before you give up and just try to force them in.

So far, I am very pleased with this product, and would not hesitate to purchase it again.

Comment: This does just what I wanted it to do. My hair feels thin to me but my hairdresser says I have "a lot of fine hair". My length is a long bob and I wanted the curlers just for body. I put them in, leave them for about 10 minutes and take them out. Soft waves. It did take me a while to figure out how to get the clips to work. I don't think this product would work as well on very long or heavy hair.

Comment: My sister wanted curlers for Christmas - but "JUST the big ones, I never use the small ones". So when I saw these I figured it would be just the thing. She LOVES them! She's been raving about them ever since.
