I've used Chi flatirons for about five years now and have never been disappointed. This one heats up quickly, is wide enough for longer hair, and stays hot. 11 of 14 people found the following review helpful: By Good Girl "beatiful hair" (Buffalo NY) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I've had this straightener for about 4 years, and it finally died today. Believe me, it got put through its paces. Chi products are very dependable; everyone I know who uses this brand straightener is satisfied. I hear that the first use is the real test--if it works, it will work for a while; if it doesn't work the first time, return it immediately. The Turbo has variable temperature settings. If you can think of a good reason for variable temperature changes, get it. If you're like me, and are planning on maxing it out every time, you might as well get the less expensive, single temperature Chi. Otherwise, I am quite pleased with this iron. What ultimately killed it was a faulty converter when I was travelling in Europe--it hasn't been the same since I got back. Clearly, this isn't really the fault of the Chi. Chi gives consistent results, creating glossy straight hair that lasts pretty well in humidity without extra product. I would highly recommend! |
