Comment: I previously used the Chi Iron, and it stopped working so I needed something new. I chose this iron because I have very thin, loose curly hair and I wanted something I can set the temperature on because I felt that the Chi was destroying my hair with its single heat setting. I've had this babyliss for about one month now, and so far it has done a decent job. My only concern is that when I first started using it I burned my forehead a lot, because unlike the Chi it doesnt have protection on the sides incase you touch your skin with it and I get close when I straighten the front portion of my hair. And, it also feels a little bulky. But that's also probably because I am used to the the thin Chi Iron. I like the iron, because it gets the job done, and it heats up very fast. But, I don't think I would buy it a second time.

Comment: I have the thickest, waviest, fullest head of hair imaginable. It's long, past my shoulders being the shortest. I had a corioliss which I loved. It worked on my hair and it only took 60 minutes to get it stick straight with my chi shine spray. I cried when my corioliss broke.

My hair dressers have used Chi and the Babyliss on my hair successfully so I knew my replacement would be among those two brands. Having read the reviews, I decided to try the babyliss which is way cheaper than my corioliss was. Omgosh, I was just stunned. It was quick and easy. But I had to try at least one more time and make sure. Nope, it was amazing. Took me 35 minutes rather than the 60 minutes. My hair was shiny and rich in color. I was literally running thru my hair and it came out just as amazing.

I will say this machine gets hot as blazes and I do need to use the highest heat setting. My hair is thick enough to stick into your fingertips. I have a callous on my thumb from using it. I am not adept enough to use the comb very much like hair dressers do.

The construction of this is heavy duty. Metal everywhere. It's a beautiful piece. Substantial. Well worth it.

I think for my daughter I'll need the wider plates since her hair is super long and super spirally curly.

Comment: This is the second one that I have owned. It makes my hair so smooth and silky. I live where the humidity is out of control and this keeps my naturally curly/out of control hair smooth without too much product. Love this!!!

Comment: I love this flat iron!! It is the same flat iron my beautician uses and I knew I had to have it. I have tried so many flat irons and known of them have given me the results that I get with this flat iron!I have naturally curly hair and even after air drying my hair, this iron leaves my hair silky smooth, straight and shiny in just one stroke!! Will never use anything else!!
